I waited on Bellevue street for a bouquet of roses to give to you as a present. It didn’t take too long to get prepared. I walked home, holding the bouquet to my chest. The sun had already faded out and the sky was dyed darkly blue.

As soon as I got home, I pulled out the largest glass bottle from the cupboard. If I didn’t put the roses in the water quickly, I thought I wouldn’t be able to show you the scent that had already filled the room. I looked at the roses and wished not to lose its scent until tomorrow. That night, I could not fall asleep easily. Every time I tried to fall asleep, the scent of the roses spread out in the room and shook me over and over again.

Fortunately, the scent of roses was there for you the next day. You held the flowers in your arms for a while, as I had been holding them the day before. You hung the roses upside down so that you can take it back home with you. Thanks to the roses, our nights were filled with its scent for several days, and also my room was filled with the scent of your skin.
